Project Name
Sustainable Early Learning Initiative
Project Description
In the next five years, the Sustainable Early Learning Initiative for Early Childhood Centre will be based
on the advances towards making sustainability a well-accepted concept in our educational settings and among
the institution’s policies and actions. This is a vast development plan that will include strategies in waste
reduction, energy conservation, and the enhancement of the abundance of wildlife. This project will be a
comprehensive one involving aspects like waste, energy and species. These are some of the actions that could be
taken which are usage of compost to address the organic wastes issue, usage of sources of energy such as solar
energy for the energy needs and having native plant species for the campus to support the ecosystem. Best
suitable for schools, this action plans to include children, staff and parents and, in this way, everyone can be
made measurably environment friendly from childhood (Davis, 2015). To obtain further specific details it will be
given by our employees who will be supported by the local specialists on sustainability and the volunteers to be
enlisted from local population.
The key subsections of this aspect are connected with the primary objectives of the Environmental
Action Plan of the Waverley Council, such as the minimization of wastes and water usage and the emission of
the greenhouse gases. This aligns the efforts being adopted within the framework of Waverley’s agenda in a way
that fosters the environmental objectives with an aim of availing a natural landscape in Waverley. It is also
useful to the centre in spades, and the new ecological project at the centre actually becomes an informational and
educational initiative to teach children the value of performing sustainable actions. Creative and McArdle,
manners and concerns of involvement and hands on programs with sustainability projects make children to be
having an interested feel for the environment (Elliott & Davis, 2009).
