Understanding Psychological Disorders
The diagnoses of many psychological disorders have always ended up pointing towards
mental illnesses and related disorders. The concept of psychological disorders, equated to
many other concepts found in science and medicine shows an absolute lack of consistency
when it comes to the primary operational definition of all the situations in psychological
disorders. In psychological terms disorders are described in broadly terms but generally are
it’s a form of psychological dysfunction in and individual and may be associated with distress
or impairment, there reactions are typically not culturally accepted in society. In general
cases a psychological disorder is categorized in mental disorders or illnesses. A mental
pattern in an individual that may cause either a form of suffering or the loss of the ability to
function properly as a human being in their society (Gazzaniga, & Heatherton, 2006)
The American Psychiatric Association (2016) states that the causes of psychological or
mental disorders in patients may be incorporated in many theories and finding from different
fields but there is always that primary uncertainty of the core causes. The common features
that are found in psychological disorders may vary in many cases due to severity or the
individual’s conditions many disorders that have been described as psychological show a
significant disparity in the signs and symptoms of the disorders. In many cases psychological
disorders in patients is usually a definition of the combination of the feelings of the patient,
how they behave in a societal set up, and how the perceive and think in normal situations.
The main consensuses about the origins of psychological disorders vary around the
functioning of the brain and all its parts. Psychological disorders are associated with the
improper functioning of the brain, especially core parts of it.
The human behaviour has advanced mentally and psychological, that being said, there are
several different categories by which a mental disorder may be identified. Du to all the
