, Introduction
This case study was written for my Diploma in Nursing at KPJ University, Nilai. The topic of
this case study is related to Thrombosed Haemorrhoid. This is very fascinating topic for me
as is it under gastrointestinal subject. I am very interested in this subject because of process
of disease and anatomy of gastrointestinal are impressive me most of the time. Besides that, I
keen to learn more about gastrointestinal throughout my case study process more enjoyable
and exciting.
Back to my case study topic which is about Thrombosed Haemorrhoid. According to
my understanding, thrombosed haemorrhoid is a volume rectal bleeding may be caused by
anal fissure or fistula, neoplasm of the distal colon or rectum, ulcerative colitis, infectious
proctitis or rectal ulcer. The haemorrhoid prolapse is the pile of haemorrhoid slip down and
out from the anal canal. It most commonly occurs in otherwise healthy young adults and may
be precipitated by coughing, heavy lifting or straining the stool. So, the thrombosis of the
haemorrhoid plexus is results in a perianal hematoma.
Thanks to God, I did finish my case study successfully with the guidance and strong
support from the nurse instructor, doctor, staff nurses and from several medical books as
references for this disease.
