Introduction
This case study was written for my Diploma in Nursing at KPJ University, Nilai. The topic of
this case study is related to Cataract. I am very interested in this subject because of process of
disease and anatomy of eyes are impressive me most of the time. Besides that, I keen to learn
more about eyes anatomically and physiologically throughout my case study process more
enjoyable and exciting.
Back to my case study topic which is about Cataract. According to my understanding,
cataract is a condition there is opacities of the crystalline lens or discoloration of the lens. The
presents of cataract will may affects the vision which is blindness. The main cause of cataract
commonly of age-related changes in the most country. The cataract patient must seek for
treatment for preventing blindness and might disrupt the lifestyle. This will cause
unhappiness and uncomfortable in doing activity daily living.
Thanks to God, I did finish my case study successfully with the guidance and strong
support from the nurse instructor, doctor, staff nurses and from several medical books as
references for this disease.
