What is a river’s mouth?
The place where a river flows into another body of water is called the
river’s mouth
AMAZON BASIN (Tropical region)
Flows through the equitoral region (b/w 10 degree south – 10 degree north)
In South America
Originates from the mountains to the west and falls in the Atlantic Ocean
to the east.
Numerous tributaries join the Amazon River to form the Amazon basin
River flows from -:
1. Brazil (mainly)
2. Peru
3. Bolivia
4. Ecuador
5. Columbia
6. Venezuela
CLIMATE
Hot, wet and humid bec. it is on equator
Rains almost everyday
DAY-: Very high humidity ( skin feels sticky)
NIGHT-: Temp. goes down but humidity remains the same

Heavy rains Dense roof created
Thick forest
( provide a lot of
wood for houses)
Doesn’t allow sunlight
Only shade tolerant
