1. Introduction to IELTS
What is IELTS?
The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an English proficiency
test for study, work, and migration. It assesses listening, reading, writing, and
speaking skills.
2. IELTS Test Format
The IELTS exam has two types:
Academic IELTS � For university admissions.
General Training IELTS � For work and immigration.
Test Sections:
Listening (30 minutes) � 4 recordings with 40 questions.
Reading (60 minutes) � 3 passages with 40 questions.
Writing (60 minutes) � 2 tasks (Task 1: Graph/Letter; Task 2: Essay).
Speaking (11�14 minutes) � 3 parts (Introduction, Cue Card, Discussion).
