Experimental design - is to determine the effects of a therapy, teaching method, or other interventions. Ethnographic method - involve studying the naturally occurring events in the life of a group to understand the meaning of these events to the people involved. Microgenetic study - is to intensively study cognitive process in the midst of change while the change is actually occurring. Example: researchers might analyze how children learn a particular strategy for adding two-digit numbers over the course of several weeks. Qualitative - case studies and ethnographies are examples. This research uses words, dialogue, events, themes, and images as data.
