This presentation aims to evaluate, compare, and analyze the menus provided by The Mather, a
forward-thinking retirement community in Tysons, VA. We will suggest revisions for healthier
food choices based on the cultural preferences and age group of the residents.
Cultural Concentration: Our focus will be on understanding the cultural implications of food on
nutritional status, considering the diverse backgrounds of the residents at The Mather.
Age Group: Our primary focus will be on individuals aged 62 and above, as The Mather is a
community designed to enhance the lives of this age group.
