, ➔Everything available in our environment to satisfy human
needs provided it is technologically accessible, culturally
acceptable and economically feasible is termed as resources
➔Resources are divided in the following ways:
1.On the basis of origin- abiotic(non living thing),
biotic(living thing)
2.On the basis of exhaustability- renewable(resources that
can be renewed), non renewable( resources that take
million of years for their formation)
3.On the basis of ownership- private( resources taht are
owned privately by an individual), community(resources
that are accessible to everyone in the community), national(
resources that belong to the nation), international( resources
that need the concurrence of the internation institutions)
4.On the basis of development- developed( resources that
have been surveyed for utilisation), potential( resources
that have been found but not utilised), stock( resources that
have potential but not appropriate technology)
➔Agenda 21 is the declaration signed by the union leaders in
june 1992 in the united nations conference on enevironment
and development to combat environmental damage,
poverty and disease
