6.1c - We have reworded the sentence ‘Geological processes release 46
carbon into the atmosphere through volcanic out-gassing at ocean
ridges/subduction zones and chemical weathering of rocks’. And
amended it to read ‘Chemical weathering removes carbon from silicate
rocks. The carbon ends up in the ocean as carbonate rock. Carbon is
released via outgassing at ocean ridges, hotspot volcanoes and
subduction zones’.
