General Adaptation Syndrome - Answer- Immune response to stress
1st stage: alarm reaction; ex/ fight or flight system will set off sympathetic nervous system.
Increased heart rate/breathing.
2nd stage: resistance; body resists against fight or flight stage. Hormones are released telling
body to relax. Homeostasis goes back to normal levels
3rd stage: exhaustion all stressors relax but body is worn out.

Body is so exhausted stress starts to affect physical, mental and external tole on bod.
Ex/ ulcers, insomnia
