The pronouns used in Early Modern English included various forms for
different cases and numbers. In the singular, the first person pronouns were "I,"
"me," "my/mine," and "mine," while the second person pronouns were "thou,"
"thee," "thy/thine," and "thine." For the plural, the first person pronouns were
"we," "us," "our," and "ours," and the second person pronouns were "ye" or "you,"
"you," "your," and "yours"

between informal singular ("thou") and plural ("ye") forms. Over time, the
informal singular form "thou" became less common, eventually disappearing from
