Prior to start of examination in our subject, I might want to say a few words managed to our presidents decisions. «It is time to create a new system of teaching foreign languages in our country, which will become a solid foundation for the future. Since we set ourselves the goal of building a competitive state, from now on the graduates of schools, lyceums, colleges and universities must be fluent in at least two foreign languages. This strict requirement should become the main criterion for the work of the director of each educational institution», Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. One of the main tasks of the structure will be the creation of methods of professional translation from the state language into foreign languages and from foreign languages into the state language. The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to further improvement of foreign language learning system”. It is noted that in the framework of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On education” and the National Program for Training in the country, a comprehensive foreign languages’ teaching system, aimed at creating harmoniously developed, highly educated, modern-thinking young generation, further integration of the country to the world community, has been created. During the years of independence, over 51.7 thousand teachers of foreign languages graduated from universities, English, German and French multimedia tutorials and textbooks for 5-9 grades of secondary schools, electronic resources for learning English in primary schools were created, more than 5000 secondary schools, professional colleges and academic lyceums were equipped with language laboratories The object of the course paper is characteristics of abbrevations, their classifications and the importance of them in the language. The actuality of the course paper is identified the necessity of abbrevations in the translation process and their usage in the practice. The aim of the course paper is to carry out the role of abbrevation in written and communicative speech effectively. According to this task the following particular points should be taken into consideration: - to study existing theories about characteristics of abbrevation; - to know about general information about abbrevation; - to define the problems of semantics in abbrevation; - to analysis particular characteristic features of abbrevation in the language practice. The method of the course paper is that we try to identify the ways of using abbrevation effectively and observe some difficult and problematic situations of them in the translation process. The theoretical value of this course paper is that the language learners and translators are able to know and work out suggestions on how to work with title. The novelty of course paper is that scientific and linguistic researches of well-known scholars and interesting materials can play an important role as the valuable base for seminars on translation, stylistics, typology and lexicology. The structure of the course paper consists of Introduction, Main body, Conclusion and Bibliography.
