, INTRODUCTION
In the field of English language teaching, it is crucial to design and implement
effective courses and scientific research that serve the needs of young learners.
This introductory part will discuss the relevance of coursework, the purpose of
scientific research, the tasks related to teaching English pronunciation to young
learners, the theory underlying the course paper, and the methodological
framework utilized in this study. The following basic concepts are applied in this

Relevance of Coursework Coursework plays a significant role in the education of
English language teachers, particularly when focusing on teaching pronunciation to
young learners. By engaging in coursework, teachers gain the necessary
knowledge and skills to understand and address the unique challenges and
developmental characteristics of young learners. Coursework provides teachers
with a solid foundation in theories, methodologies, and practical strategies required
to effectively teach English pronunciation to young learners. The decision of the

Purpose of Scientific Research serves as a vital component in improving
English language teaching practices, including pronunciation instruction for young
learners. The purpose of scientific research is to expand our understanding of
various aspects related to teaching pronunciation to young learners, such as the
cognitive and physiological processes involved in language acquisition, effective
instructional approaches, and the impact of different factors on pronunciation
development. Through scientific research, educators can make informed decisions
and develop evidence-based practices to enhance English pronunciation
instruction.
The theme of teaching English pronunciation to young learners
encompasses several tasks. Firstly, it involves identifying the specific
pronunciation needs and challenges faced by young learners, such as difficulties
with certain sounds or intonation patterns. Secondly, the theme requires designing
and implementing engaging and interactive activities that cater to the
developmental characteristics and learning preferences of young learners. Thirdly,
it entails creating a phonics-based curriculum that integrates sound-spelling
relationships and phonics instruction into reading and writing activities. Lastly, the
theme involves providing effective feedback and assessment methods to monitor
young learners' progress in pronunciation development. The theoretical framework
of this course paper draws upon various theories relevant to teaching English
pronunciation to young learners. One such theory is the cognitive theory, which
explores how young learners acquire and process language sounds and patterns.

, Additionally, the sociocultural theory highlights the role of social interaction and
cultural contexts in pronunciation development. The theory of multiple
intelligences recognizes the diverse strengths and learning styles of young learners
and suggests incorporating various intelligences, such as musical or bodily-
kinesthetic, in pronunciation instruction.
The methodological framework employed in this study encompasses a
range of instructional approaches and techniques tailored to teaching English
pronunciation to young learners. It includes the use of songs and chants to engage
young learners and reinforce pronunciation patterns. Interactive games and role-
plays are incorporated to provide opportunities for meaningful practice and
interaction. The integration of phonics instruction aids in developing young
learners' phonemic awareness and sound-spelling connections. Visual aids,
mirroring techniques, and peer assessment are utilized to enhance articulation and
sound production. Additionally, formative and summative assessments are
employed to evaluate young learners' pronunciation progress. In conclusion, this
introductory part has discussed the relevance of coursework in teaching English
pronunciation to young learners, the purpose of scientific research in improving
pronunciation instruction, the tasks involved in teaching pronunciation to this
specific group, the underlying theory of the course paper, and the methodological
framework employed. By understanding the importance of coursework and
scientific research, addressing specific tasks, grounding the course paper in
relevant theories, and utilizing an appropriate methodological framework,
educators can effectively teach English pronunciation to young learners and
facilitate their language development.
