1. Describe the unique qualities that attract you to the specific
undergraduate College or School (including preferred admission
and dual degree programs) to which you are applying at the
University of Michigan. How would that curriculum support your
interests?* (550 words)
Academically, I plan on majoring in Busniess Administration with a minor in Computer Sceince
at the University of Michigan. I am interested in the Stephen M. Ross School of Business for its
in-depth courses which are taught by some of the leading professors in the fields such as Ravi
Anupindi’s “Innovation in Global Health Delivery”-an elective course, which aligns with my
interest in the healthcare industry, having worked on various ML models after understanding the
key challenges posed to the healthcare sector. Analyising corporate strategies, at Powtoon
piqued my interest in understanding strategy at a global scale, STRATEGY 390 taught by Xavier
Martin is one course that I believe will help me achieve this. I also plan on minoring in Computer
Scinece at the LSA. Participating in the TechArb Student Acclerator Program can be attributable
to my prior interests of Business and Computer Science. Classes such as Entreprenuiral
Creativity (ALA/PYSCH) and Entreprenurial Business Basics (ES 212/ UC 270) will support my
ambition of starting my own company. These offerings by Ross school of Business could be
utilized in my business endevaours, helping my goal of cultivating an enterprise in the
intersection of Healthcare and Computer Science.
At the Literature, Science and Arts I want to study Computer Science to learn more about how
the applications of Business and Computer Sceince will align with each other. Since my
childhood days, the use of Computers and its applications have evolved at a drastic rate. I
would relish diving deeper into the concepts of this subject and understand its impact on various
Businesses. Being well equipped with Business and Computer Science would aid me with the
right skillset needed to commence a company in the Computer Science arena.
Beyond my specific interests of Business Administration at Ross and Computer Science at LSA,
I will join the Outdoor Club to explore and envision ideas while traveling Michigan and the world,
travelling with like-minded people -I believe will increase chances of making a long-term
friendships as well. To continue my exploration of learning Business with like-minded
Wolverines, I would like to join the MECC Consulting Group to work alongside local companies.
Attending Ross School of Business and the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts will
provide an opputunity to meet students from diverse backgrounds, who collectively have the
same goal. Being true to my goals, and working hard to be the “ideal form” of myself while
building connections and shaping myself to be leading a company is who I aspire to become
after being a member at University of Michigan.
