Care Values
help to ensure that care improves life for each individuals rather than making it worse and also
doing good and no harm to someone.
Care values are principals/standards.
Care workers should always act in the best interest of the service user to show that they care about
each individual and they will have a safe trusted bond
Treat them in a the way we would like to be treated ourselves because if you don’t show respect no one
will respect you back.
Care workers should always show they value to each individual by applying each one of the care values
so then they will always be showing there best support at all times.
There are 6 principles to help care workers give the standard of care clients and also they help to
ensure that care improves life for individuals rather than making it worse.
Confidentially-Do not talk about patients personal information in a public area
Dignity- Not force feeds/privacy with changing
Respect for the individual-Addressing mum correct name for trust
Safeguarding- moving hazard objects
Person centred care- learn what is best for the individual to learn best
Duty of care- makes sure people have the right service
