Our eye is made up of three layers.
1. Sclera
The sclera is the white, outer layer of the eye that provides protection and maintains the eye's
shape
2. Choroid
The choroid is the middle layer containing blood vessels that nourish the eye.
3. Retina
The retina is the innermost layer that contains light-sensitive cells essential for vision.

, Parts of our eye
1. Cornea
: The cornea is the clear, dome-shaped surface at the front of the eye.
Function:
Cornea bends oncoming light onto the lens then onto the retina
Cornea protects the inner parts of the eye from dust, germs, and other harmful materials
It also helps filter out some of the sun's damaging ultraviolet (UV) light
2. Conjunctiva
: The conjunctiva is a thin, clear tissue that covers the front of the eye and the inner surface of the
eyelid.
Function:
The conjunctiva helps lubricate the eye by producing mucus and tears
It helps prevent microorganisms from entering the eye
The conjunctiva also allows the eye to move smoothly in the eye socket
3. Iris
: The iris is the colored part of the eye that controls the size of the pupil.
Function:
The iris controls the amount of light entering the eye by adjusting pupil size
It gives eyes their distinctive color through melanin pigmentation
The iris helps prevent internal reflection of light within the eye
4. Pupil
: The pupil is the black circular opening in the center of the iris.
