traumatic. (Page 7)

Our home was broken into while our three children were asleep. My husband and I were tied up and left
in a corner while the three-armed robbers proceeded to ransack our home. My husband was hit a few
times by one of the more violent robbers. This event was traumatic and it took a long time for us to heal.

Situations that I would find to be traumatic is if they had woken my kids and done something to them. I
or my girls could have been raped. We could have been shot and left for dead. All of these could have
happened and I find it to be traumatic situations. Other situations I would find traumatizing is a violent
crash, losing someone I love unexpectedly, home invasions, and violent attacks (at home or while out)
