The Negotiable Instruments Act of 1881 governs financial instruments in
India, although it wasn’t actually put into effect until March 1st, 1882. Think
of it this way: the law was made in 1881 when it passed through parliament,
but it didn’t start applying to everyone until March 1st, 1882.
The Act primarily focuses on three key types of negotiable instruments:
promissory notes, bills of exchange, and checks. However, the video clarifies
