Prerequisite Skills/Prior Knowledge:
• Students should have a basic understanding of how to turn a computer on and off, use a mouse, and interact with a
keyboard.
• Basic Computer Terminology: Students should have a basic understanding of computer-related terms such as
hardware, software, and browser. Assessment strategy: Quiz or class discussion to review key terms.
• Online Navigation: Students should be able to navigate the internet using a browser and understand basic online
safety rules. Assessment strategy: Observation of students navigating a kid-friendly website.
• Digital Citizenship: Students should have a basic understanding of digital citizenship concepts such as online etiquette
and respect for others. Assessment strategy: Class discussion or written reflection on digital citizenship.
• Technology Basics: Students should have a basic understanding of technology basics such as logging in, using a mouse,
and basic keyboarding skills. Assessment strategy: Observation of students completing a basic technology task.

• The lesson plan incorporates two technology solutions: a digital learning platform and a classroom management tool.
The classroom management tool will enable teacher to monitor student activity in real-time, ensuring that students are
using technology responsibly and staying on task
