i-human week 7,6531,50y/o: Reason for encounter: Abdominal pain.
The patient is a 50 y/o male with c/o of abdominal pain for the past weeks to months. His pain is burning in the epigastric region and improves with eating. He has a history of black emesis some months ago. His other findings include black tarry stools. His social history is significant for alcohol use and 30-pack year smoking history. Patient uses NSAIDs for his pain. His medical history is significant for osteoarthritis and dyslipidemia. Family history is unremarkable for abdominal pain. The physical exam is remarkable for slightly hyperactive bowel sounds, moderate epigastric tenderness to deep palpation and crepitus on knees bilaterally. Vital signs are stable.
