1 Accuracy - ANSWER Should not create inaccurate or misleading material.
Should be able to distinguish fact from comment and speculation. This will
encompass photographs and headlines not supported by text.
2 Privacy* - ANSWER All individuals have a right to respect for family life,
home, health, and correspondence. Editors will be able to justify any intrusions
into an individual's privacy without consent. Photographing someone where
there is an expectation of privacy is not acceptable
3 Harassment* - ANSWER Never threaten, harass or stalk. Where requested to
cease they must do so, and identify themselves and employer at demand.
4 Intrusion into Grief or Shock - ANSWER Questions should be asked
sensitively and tactfully with reporting handled sensitively.
5 Reporting Suicide* - ANSWER Avoid too much detail as to method used
6 Children* - ANSWER Should not be photographed or approached at school
without permission. Children under 16 should be interviewed or photographed
with regard to their own or other people's welfare without parents'
permission.Parents' celebrity does not justify intrusion.
