Managing An Event
Daniel Vroy
Justifying how my own skills match those of an events organiser.
As a result of my skills audit, I realized that I had a few skills similar to
those of an event organizer. One of these is my ability to communicate.
This is one of the most important skills that an event organizer has since
speaking and being able to lead a conversation is essential. It requires
strong communication and helps the event organiser to be clear and
easy to understand. All in all, my communication skills are strong, and I
am confident in my ability to convey a message or persuade someone
about anything. I have acquired and improved this skill in my work
experience where I am able to communicate with my clients and
colleagues. During that time, I learned and developed a great deal in my
speech and this helped me to successfully develop this skill. My ability to
communicate is similar to that of an event planner because the way I talk
is enough for the event organizer. I am able to speak in a pleasant voice
and engage with customers with more confidence, which helps to
increase the chances of meeting the needs and requirements of the
customers and getting their approval.
My next skill which matches with the skills of an event organiser is my
interpersonal skills. Interpersonal skills are essential for event organisers
since social skills complement communication abilities while interacting
with others. Leadership, inspiring others, and teamwork are all essential
interpersonal skills for event organisers to lead a team to success. I've
previously dealt with people of various personalities, origins, and
ethnicities. Working in different environments has taught me how to
connect with a variety of people and solve a variety of problems. This
has greatly improved my interpersonal skills. Communicating with a
variety of people was crucial in building my confidence in
communication. Event organisers are also responsible for encouraging
the staff, which is critical for increasing job efficiency. As a result, my
energy levels are constantly high in order to boost everyone else's
energy levels and get them motivated to work. This will enhance
efficiency by making work more fun for employees and resulting in
higher quality output. Due to this reason, my interpersonal skills match
those of an event organiser because I enjoy interacting with people and
having a comfortable and passionate environment which helps create a
positive atmosphere.
