The ACT test or the American Collegiate Testing is a test that is taken by high school students
to get admission on the basis of the merit obtained in this test, in the college. The test content
is framed so as to find and evaluate the general knowledge that the child has acquired as well
as their ability to perform at the college exams. The test consists of four multiple choice test
areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science. There is also an optional writing test, which
consists of one essay question.
There are two ways to register for the ACT test, either online or through the mail. Online
registration can be done atthe ACT website ACT website for which it takes almost 1 − 1.5
hours. All details are available on the website for registration. The other way in which
registration for the test can be donw is by using the mail. This can be done with the help of a
registration packet which is available at many high schools, or it can be requested by filling out
an online form on ACT website . All fees must be paid up at the time of registration, and these
fees are outlined on the ACT website as well. There are five national test dates, and these are
October, December, February, April, and June. Some states also have a late September test
date. Information about specific test dates and test locations can also be found online. It is
recommended that the ACT test is taken about two months before any college, university, or
scholarship application deadlines.
