At the end of the course the students should be able to:
a. Discuss the nature of entrepreneurship and the attributes of an entrepreneur
b. Explain family business and entrepreneurship
c. Explain clearly the concepts of business planning, resource mobilization and intellectual
property
d. Discuss the importance of entrepreneurship policy environment in Kenya
2.0 Course content
The nature of entrepreneurship; The personality attributes of an entrepreneur; Creativity
and innovation and their role in entrepreneurship; Family business and entrepreneurship;
Intellectual property protection; Business planning; Resource mobilization; Management
of business growth; Negotiation and deal structuring; Entrepreneurship policy
environment in Kenya.
