Capitalism, Fairness, & Tension
Q: Is the fairest society produced by capitalism? Is there even a tension between
capitalism and fairness?
A: Capitalism is supposed to allow freedom for individuals to generate wealth by their
contribution to their business and having private ownership of its operations for a profit.
However, in the U.S., it is debatable whether a capital society really exist as “fair”. Some
Americans argue that capitalism is for the most a luent population. It’s often speculated
that an increase in inequality arises, due to the inheritance of wealth from generation to
generation leading a large population to live a lavish life without e ort. Intellectual Property
has the liberty to become Private Property and passed ostentatiously opulent in the higher-
class population. Thus, capitalism is nice for entrepreneurs like me to flourish in life if I
initially innovate an idea to get me far, but on the other hand, due to other strenuous factors
related to inequality, I may never have the chance to, making it unfair.
