Background of the study
Social media improves constantly and as the world changes, our minds,
behaviors and even how we communicate also changes too. We know that social
media is a huge factor that affects not only students' behavior, perspective and
emotions but also in speaking skills.
Social media continuously changes people's way of living. For e.g.
communications, knowledge exchange, commerce and education (Bhatti, 2018;
Bhatti, Bano & Rehman, 2019) Because of the increasing number of social media
platforms, many people are able to learn, search and explore further. Such as
students, teachers, researchers etc. The importance of this study is to know how the
effects of social media affects the English speaking skills of the students and also
how to improve the English speaking skills of the students.
Purpose of the study
This study aims to determine the effects of social media in English speaking
skills of the students. Thus, it also determines the benefits of social media to the
students to improve their speaking in English skills.
Research Questions
This study aims to determine the effects of media in English speaking skills of
the students. In this research paper answers the following issues:
1. How does social media affect the English speaking skills of the students?
2. How does social media improve the speaking in English skills of the students?
