The modern business environment is forcing organizations to utilize teams as a
workplace culture to increase productivity. The most successful organizations are investing more
in creating solid teams that define the goal and purpose of the business. Effective teams know
how to convert their mission into individual performance objectives, efficiently contributing to
become responsible with and to their colleagues. Enhancing team productivity is vital in
determining the best way to utilize teams at all organization levels. To create and lead a strong
team, communication and competition are key factors to consider (Rath, 2007). Effective
communication within a group fosters a culture of collaboration among team members, allowing
them to achieve their goals fast. On the other hand, competition provides a platform for a team to
learn from teammates and motivate each other to self-improve. Therefore, this paper will
evaluate the application of communication and competition in my work team.

2007). The ability to create sense from ideas and think beyond everyday reasoning attracts the
