Principles of design refers to the guidelines that enable us to create a design that is
pleasing to look at.
Balance- It refers to a state of equilibrium between elements used in a composition
patchwork- When small pieces of fabric are sewn together at the edges to form a
design or pattern.
Button-The button is a small device which is attached to a garment piece to make
secure two pieces of fabrics together
Motif- The motif is a special accessory which is attached to the garments by
embroidery, printed design and contains the country name or brand name.
Accessories- These are items that enhance the function or beauty of a garment.
,Embroidery is the art of decorating fabric or other materials using needle to apply
thread.
Needlepoint is the process of creating images or patterns with closely sewn stitches.
Beadwork is the art or craft of attaching beads to one another by stringing them with
beading needle and thread or thin wire, or sewing them to cloth, leather or other
foundation materials to embellish the surface
Quilting and quilt art is the technique of using two layers of fabric, usually with a
soft material placed in between the layers and then stitched together
