maintain operational security.

conducted. Black sites are clandestine jails where prisoners generally are not charged with a
crime and have no legal recourse, with no bail or court order.
4. What is FATA? Federally Administered Tribal Areas was a semi-autonomous tribal region in
northwestern Pakistan that existed from 1947 until being merged with neighboring province
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2018.
5. Who is Abu Ahmed Al-Kuwaiti?
Abu Ahmed al-Kuwaiti, real name: Ibrahim Saeed Ahmed, was a Pakistani terrorist and courier
for Osama bin Laden. He was not a Kuwaiti, but rather was an ethnic Pashtun and a Pakistani
citizen. He adopted the last name Al-Kuwaiti because his Pakistani parents lived in Kuwait.

Ramzi Ahmed Yousef is a Pakistani convicted terrorist who was one of the main perpetrators of
