What is the difference between business and professional?
a business does not have a fiduciary duty (no obligation to the welfare of their clients)
-professionals have to serve the welfare even if it hurts the profession! (with precautions to
keep ourselves healthy and safe of course. We make sacrifices in the interests of others)
Are PAs professionals?
The argument is that, we are not professionals because of the nature of our profession,
supervised and collaborative/shared body of medical knowledge...however there are ongoing
debates that PAs are full professionals
