CFRx/AIMRx - How does this program track the medications? - ANS This inventory system
tracks the balance on hand (BOH) based on filled prescriptions and cycle count completions.
Out of Stock Scans - When is this completed? How many times per week? - ANS Should be
completed once a week, every Saturday, the day before your order day. Done to verify what is
actually in stock and what isn't.
Cycle Counts - When are they done? How often? - ANS They are done daily.
Monday - Friday by 5:55 pm at latest
Saturday by 4:25 pm at latest
Sunday by 3:25 pm at latest
Outside Vendors - What days do we order? What days of the week do we receive orders? -
ANS Items may be ordered via Outside Vendor daily except Fridays and Saturdays. Delivers
daily Monday-Friday.
Define PHI - ANS Protected Health Information. Any information deemed confidential. i.e.
Medication names, patient names, DoBs, Address, RX number, Doctor information, etc...
Define HIPAA - ANS Health Insurance Portability and Accountability : Regulates to who we
can and cannot release a patient's medical/ prescription information to.
What is the responsibility of pick up ? - ANS Workstation in which patients are rung up and
pay for their prescription. Offer is made to counsel and patient signs to confirm
receipt/acknowledges HIPAA if necessary.

, What is responsibility of production? - ANS Workstation responsible for phone calls, and
physically counting medications. Utilizes the quality production (QP) screen as well as the
accuracy scan.
What is the responsibility of drop off? - ANS Workstation responsible for typing new
prescriptions. Performs data entry/tp adjudication and maintains QT (Quality Triage).
Define Partial Fill - When is this used? What happens if violated? - ANS A Partial Fill is when
we may not have enough of a medication on hand to dispense a full quantity to the patient.
Partials should not exceed 3 days and are never billed through the insurance until the
remainder is filled. Violations included are, but are not limited to: Fines, Termination, Jail time.
Define Medicaid- What are the protocols when handling this insurance? - ANS Medicaid: A
state funded program in which patients receive their medication at little to no out of pocket
cost. All prescriptions billed to Medicaid in NJ must be for legitimate and medical purposes.
Medicare Part B covers - ANS DME and Diabetic supplies. SOME asthma medication.
