Teenage Mothers Project  community-based intervention to improve
psychological and social well-being of unmarried teenage mothers.
Intervention Mapping (IM) for systematically developing a theory and
evidence-based comprehensive health promotion programme. 6 steps:
1. Needs assessment
2. Programme objectives
3. Methods and applications
4. Intervention design
5. Planning for adoption and implementation
6. Planning for evaluation

5 intervention components:
 Community awareness raising
 Support groups
 Formal education and income generation
 Counselling
 Advocacy (encouragement)

Theoretical methods:
- Entertainment education
- Persuasive communication
- Mobilisation of social networks
- Social action

IM facilitated iterative, bottom-up, participatory design in a real-life
setting, suing evidence and theory.
