Reproduction is a biological process by which an organism produces offspring similar to itself.
Types of Reproduction:
1. Asexual Reproduction: Involves a single parent with or without the formation of gametes.
- Binary fission, budding, fragmentation, spore formation.
2. Sexual Reproduction: Involves the formation and fusion of gametes.
- Found in higher organisms; includes pre-fertilisation, fertilisation and post-fertilisation events.

- Juvenile Phase: Period of growth.
- Reproductive Phase: Period during which an organism can reproduce.
- Senescence: The period of aging after reproductive phase.
