Section 1: Evidence of my work for each activity
Activity 1
My biggest dream in my early 20’s was to create a safe haven or school for
young girls who go through teenage pregnancy, behavioural problems and even
obesity. Helping them to find healing, personal growth and discover their identity.
This dream obviously needs various professionals and a lot of finances. Instead
of being discouraged, I can start small and at least somewhere.
I can start the project by having teenage girl camps in school holidays.
Focussing on identity, relationships, self-care with some pampering, peer-
pressure and bullying, self defence and of course a movie night in pyjamas. It
will be a structured programme with sessions and breaks in between with some
fellowship time, maybe make some new friends.
I would need a suitable and safe venue with accommodation who provide three
meals a day. My biggest resources will be speakers and suitable content to
share with the girls. I can present some sessions but it will always be beneficial
to get woman ambassadors like Gretha Widd and even Mrs South Africa,
Zozibini Tunzi to share their stories and give advice.
My foundation for all sessions will be Christian based and finding their identity in
Christ and seek ambassadors with the same values.
Unfortunately one of the most important aspects is time. Running a full time
bakery at the moment leaves me limited time which I currently use for UNISA
studies. Starting a new projects will take time to arrange everything thats
necessary and meeting possible volunteers and ambassadors.
