INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE (PART A)
A1 - Functionality & Microinteraction Needs Stakeholder
Needs:
Pet Paradigm stakeholders need a website that simplifies navigation, offers essential pet care
advice, enables users to contact the company for consultations, and enhances brand recognition.
Audience Needs:
Users require an easy-to-navigate site with straightforward content in plain language optimized
for different device screen sizes.
Proposed micro-interactions:
● Include visual and audio feedback on the navigation bar by hovering and clicking.
● Provide text descriptions for all images and buttons.
● Enhance usability with the following micro-interactions:
● Add a contact form with animation/feedback on submission success or failure.
● Underline all links/hyperlinks.
● Display company contact details (phone/email) at the top and bottom of each page.
● Add social media sharing buttons and content download options.
A2 - New Content
Persona: Fish Owners: Interested in freshwater and saltwater maintenance, often using
handheld devices.
Fish owners need guidance on ensuring the safety and suitability of their fish’s aquatic
environment. The new content will provide detailed care and maintenance information for
freshwater and saltwater fish, emphasize the use of water tester kits, outline water chemical
safety levels, and inform users that they can consult with a “Pexpert.” This content will help fish
owners create a safe aquatic habitat for their pets.
New website features will make it easier for fish owners to find the necessary information and
care. A “Fish” link in the navigation bar will allow them to access pet- specific content with just
1-2 clicks. A contact form added under the “Schedule an Appointment” link will provide easy
access to consultation services, such as fish species
