- Pronouns – Words that replace nouns. (e.g., he, she, it, they)
- Verbs – Action or being words. (e.g., run, jump, is, are)
- Adjectives – Words that describe nouns. (e.g., fast, red, intelligent)
- Adverbs – Words that describe verbs or other adverbs. (e.g., quickly, very, softly)
- Prepositions – Show relationships in space or time. (e.g., on, in, between, before)
- Conjunctions – Join words or sentences. (e.g., and, but, because)
- Interjections – Express emotions. (e.g., Oh! Wow! Oops!)
2. Sentence Structure – Making Your Sentences Make Sense
Every good sentence has a subject (who or what) and a verb (what they do).
- Simple Sentence: Just one idea.
