Heart
Lungs
Brain
Kidneys
Standard Order for Assessment:
R → P → T → BP
(Respiration → Pulse → Temperature → Blood Pressure)

🫁 1. Respiration
Method: Inspection
Normal rate in newborns: 30–60 breaths/min (average: 40)
At 1 year: 30–40 breaths/min
At 25 years: 12–20 breaths/min
Note: Count respiration for a full 1 minute in neonates.
🔹 Neonatal Respiratory Characteristics:
Irregular, shallow, abdominal breathing
Apnea: Pause in breathing <20 seconds (common in preterms)
Fewer alveoli → higher respiratory rate
