BLS Ambulance
BLS Unit - Answer -BLS ambulance: an approved SCC basic life support
ambulance with at least 2 EMT's
BLS unit: (non-transport) any unit with emergency medical response at the basic
life support level not designated for transport, must include at least 1 EMT.
Air ambulance: any SCC permitted air ambulance either basic or ALS in
accordance with title 22 regulations. Staffed with one nurse and one additional
nurse or paramedic
ALS ambulance: Any SCC approved ALS ambulance staffed by at least one
paramedic and one EMT or additional paramedic
