Course Description
In this course, the student focuses on mastering pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics,
and pharmacogenomics, as well as fundamental pharmacology and therapeutics used
in the treatment of selected health conditions commonly encountered by the advanced
practice nurse in the primary care setting. Emphasis is placed on the decision-making
process utilized to safely and effectively prescribe and monitor pharmacotherapeutics
for the treatment of acute and chronic diseases appropriate to the patient situation.
