INTRODUCTION
Female reproductive system is responsible for production of ovum, supporting to reproductive
function of female, menstruation, pregnancy, enable child birth, lactation.
Anatomy of female reproductive system
It mainly including External and Internal genetalia
Internal genitalia
Ovaries
Fallopian tubes
Uterus
Vagina
External genitalia
Mons pubis
Labia majora
Labia minora
Clitoris
Vestibule and greater vestibular glands
Physiology of the Reproductive System
✅ 1. Oogenesis
Formation of ova (eggs) in the ovaries.
Begins before birth, matures after puberty.
✅ 2. Menstrual Cycle (28 days average)
1. Menstrual phase (Days 1–5)
Shedding of endometrial lining.
,2. Follicular/Proliferative phase (Days 6–13)

Release of mature egg.
4. Luteal/Secretory phase (Days 15–28)
Progesterone prepares uterus for implantation.
1. Ovaries
Shape: Almond-shaped, paired organs.

Function:
Production of ova (eggs).
Secretion of hormones: estrogen and progesterone.
, Fallopian Tubes (Uterine Tubes / Oviducts)
Length: ~10 cm.
Parts:
Infundibulum (with fimbriae)
Ampulla (site of fertilization)
