interoperable.

EHR program, to create and sign prescriptions for medicines, thereby replacing
handwritten prescriptions. Electronic prescriptions are sent to pharmacies over the
internet via a clearinghouse.

HIE - Answer- HIE is the transmission of healthcare information electronically across
organizations within a region, community, or hospital system.
Health Information Technology
