Staff, Army; and senior Army Leadership on the AC Retention Program and
professional development.
(c) Be the policy writer and manager of AR 601-280.
(d) Delegate approval authority for retention actions to HRC and adjudicate
actions elevated by HRC.
(e) Be the approval authority for exceptions to retention policy.
(f) Establish the reenlistment window in accordance with Army strategic planning
and support of the Army end strength and readiness requirements.
(g) Assign mission to ACOMs, ASCCs, and DRUs.
(h) Exercise operational and strategic supervision of retention programs.
(i) Fulfill responsibilities of the command career counselor.
