INTRODUCTION SECTION
Argumentative essays trigger conflicting opinions on the subject. Examples of
argumentative essays include topic on abortion, gun ownerships, or assisted suicides.
Start with a hook then provide some background information. Finally show your
position on the topic of discussion. All this should be in one paragraph of (100 words
in smaller papers or 150 words for larger papers).
Hook/Introduce Topic
Introduce an interesting observation, famous quote, or a unique
scenario to catch readers’ attention.
Background information:
Explain the topic in 3-5 sentences. Provide concept-definition, facts,
characteristics, or examples to help readers connect concepts.
Thesis statement:

topic and provide three reasons why you chose this position.
