👉 Accounting ka matlab hai business ke paise se related transactions ka proper record rakhna.
Jab bhi koi paisa aata hai ya jata hai, usko hum note karte hain.

(summary banana) aur interpret (samajhna aur explain karna) bhi accounting ka part hai.

Ye pehle “purchase” me record hoga,
Fir “purchase account” me classify hoga,
Fir saare records ka “summary” banega,

2. Bookkeeping vs Accounting
Bookkeeping = Sirf transactions ka record banana (basic kaam).
Accounting = Recording + Analysis + Result dikhana.

Accounting: Ye bhi batayega ki pen bechne ke baad tumhe profit hua ya loss.

3. Objectives of Accounting
Accounting kyu zaroori hai?
1. Record keeping – Har transaction ka record rahe.
2. Profit/Loss find karna – Business me fayda ho raha hai ya nuksan.
3. Financial Position dikhana – Assets (jo cheezein apne paas hai) aur Liabilities (jo dena hai).
4. Decision making – Management ko future plans banane me help karta hai.
5. Legal requirement – Tax, GST, Income Tax ke liye records chahiye hote hain.

Accounting ke 5 important functions hote hain:
1. Recording → har transaction ko likhna.
2. Classifying → similar cheezein ek jagah likhna (jaise sab purchase alag, sales alag).
3. Summarising → trial balance, P&L, balance sheet banana.
4. Analysis & Interpretation → profit ratio, loss kyu hua, growth hai ya nahi.
5. Communicating → jo result aaya wo owner/investor ko batana.
