of action or entertainment.

These are considered to be the famous novels in literature:

●​ "The Great Gatsby" is a literary fiction novel set in the 1920s that tells the story of
Jay Gatsby, a wealthy man who throws grand parties in hopes of winning back his former
love, Daisy Buchanan. It is one of the greatest American novels for its powerful portrayal
of the Jazz Age and its critique of materialism and illusion.
●​ "To Kill a Mockingbird" is a literary fiction novel set in the 1930s American
South. It tells the story of a young girl named Scout Finch, who learns about racism,
justice, and growing up as her father, Atticus Finch, defends a Black man, Tom
Robinson, falsely accused of a crime.
