What are the 5 components of class design? - -1. Introduction: Instructor engagement with
participants and explanation
of the workout and class
expectations.
2. Movement Prep: Activities to increase body
temperature and prime the
body for workout demands.
3. Body of Workout: Majority of the fi tness class;
activities with a singular or
integrated focus on cardiorespiratory
fi tness, muscular
strength, muscular endurance,
flexibility, or mindfulness.
4. Transition: Safely takes participants
through the gradual physiological
change from exertion
to rest.
5. Outro: Final class segment to conclude
the workout, praise
participants' effort, and invite
participants back for the next
session.

(such as flexibility, core,
and balance) to gradually
increase intensity.

or validate how hard a participant
feels he or she is
working during exercise
