, INTRODUCTION
Pancreas produces two hormones, i.e. insulin and glucagon.
These hormones are secreted by cells of islets of
Langerhans. Both insulin and glucagon regulate the amount
of sugar that present in bloodstream. Insulin permits cells
to use glucose for energy. Cells cannot utilize glucose
without insulin. It also coverts glucose to glycogen and
glucagon converts glycogen to glucose . Deficiency of insulin
hormone cause high glucose level in blood that means
hyperglycemia (diabetes mellitus)
