, WHAT IS ANGIOSPERMS?
Angiosperms are the flower producing plants which
bear their seeds in fruits.
The term “angiosperms” comes from the Greek words
angio, which means “covered,” and sperma, which
means “seed”.
They are the largest and most diverse group within
the kingdom Plantae, with about 250,000 species.
Angiosperms represent approximately 80 percent of
all the known green plants now living.
