AR 635-200 - CORRECT ANSWER - Chapter 6: Separation because of dependency or
hardship:
-Para 6-5d(5) provides that separation for dependency or hardship will not occur until proper
disposition of the case is made if Soldier is being processed for discharge or retirement for
physical disability. However, the application will be accepted and processed to final decision.
-USAPDA does not hold the Soldier to this guidance. Once Soldier is approved for separation for
dependency or hardship, that disposition takes priority over completion of disability evaluation.
